An independent Norwegian development cooperation organisation, with particular interest in:
- poverty
- participation
- promoting social equity
- ecology
- community resources
The Development Fund cooperates with local organisations in Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, supporting their efforts to combat poverty and safeguard the environment. Active participation by those affected by the projects is an important criterion for the choice of projects and partners.
