The Program

The Incentive Fund Phase 4 (IF4) aims to attract, identify and incentivise high performing organisations to expand the reach, coverage and quality of their contribution to service delivery and/or economic development in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Projects previously funded include the redevelopment of markets, schools, health aid posts, clinics and hospitals and the construction of marketplaces and bridges.

Coffey, as the managing contractor are now accepting applications from suitable Senior Infrastructure Managers.  

The Position

The Senior Infrastructure Manager (SIM) will provide senior technical oversight and quality assurance to infrastructure/project managers in the Proposal & Project Management Unit (PPMU); provide comprehensive infrastructure design, documentation and project management advice and support to partner organisations in the delivery of Incentive Fund Phase 4 infrastructure activities, including contracts management and quality assurance of infrastructure and construction works vis-a-vis 3rd party quality assurance entities providing design-and engineering services directly to IF4 or indirectly through Partner Organisations.

The Person

The ideal candidate for this key position will have relevant tertiary qualification in building construction, construction management, architecture or civil engineering. For success you will need demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of successful infrastructure/construction projects combined with strong experience establishing and managing large budgets and reporting on expenditure and variance.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and management of multiple projects from small to large scale construction activities will be highly regarded as will experience in: estimation, tendering and procurement, construction schedule development and implementation. Aid development infrastructure and/or Pacific/PNG experience is highly desirable.  

We seek a self-driven and dynamic candidate with the ability to work across the public, private and civil society sectors and have exceptional inter-personal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and service providers.
