Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) Project Coordinator
- An exciting opportunity to contribute towards the Fijian Government’s vision of creating a modern and accountable Civil Service
- Full time contract until 31 December 2021
- Suva, Fiji
The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, Australia Awards and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability inclusion, climate change, emergency preparedness and response and civil society engagement, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised.
As part of its portfolio of work, the Facility administers a fund to rapidly mobilise local and international experts to support the implementation of Fiji’s priority policies and reforms in agreed areas, including public sector performance, governance and economic recovery and growth, supporting Fiji’s stability, prosperity, and resilience to shocks.
The Ministry of Civil Service oversees the development and implementation of Whole of Government policies, to support Ministries in the development of their policies and to ensure comprehensive, data-based policies are developed across the Fijian Government.
The Fijian Government has developed and piloted a Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), to be rolled out across whole of Government, with a planned integration with payroll. The HR data cleansing and implementation of the HR modules is progressing well; initial planning for links with payroll has begun and Government is now ready to continue this implementation and transition.
The Ministry of Civil Service will work with key civil services staff across government to ensure the full implementation of the HRMIS across all ministries, delivering an effective and smooth transformation for civil servants.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of project management cycle including collating data, documenting and reporting requirements. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in public administration, policies and procedures and their application to project management in the public sector. Successful candidate will have an understanding of the HRMIS implementation across the civil service. We seek a candidate who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is driven, results oriented and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
This is a locally engaged position. The role is open to Fijian citizens and current residents of Fiji, and the salary offered does not include international allowances.
