The communications team sits within the Knowledge Hub and provides communications support for Itad and our clients. Within the communications team, there is a Communications and Engagement Manager, a Design and Brand Officer and a Communications Coordinator.
The Communications Coordinator is an exciting and varied role, which focuses on raising our profile and strengthening our brand. We work with clients around the world across different areas of work such as climate change, health, humanitarian and education.
You’ll enjoy organising events, such as webinars, and will support the day-to-day content on our website, monthly e-newsletter and social media channels. You will regularly spot and secure new opportunities beneficial to our work, creating compelling content to improve our engagement with target audiences and overseeing digital analytics.
There are several key areas of responsibility:
- Writing content for blogs, social media, and our monthly e-newsletter
- Organising events, such as webinars
- Uploading content to our website using WordPress
- Working with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics
We are looking for someone with experience of working in communications, ideally within international development.
You’ll be a proactive, enthusiastic individual who feels passionate about how our work helps to make international development more effective. You will enjoy writing and have excellent proofreading skills, with an ability to turn technical content into user friendly content.
Working closely with the Communications and Engagement Manager to develop and improve our communications, the role would suit someone who is organised, is keen to learn and enjoys a busy, varied role within a team.
The salary for this role is up to £25,000 depending on your skills and experience.
We also offer a comprehensive learning and development programme, 24 days holiday plus additional time off over Christmas and a matched company pension up to 5%.
The role is based in our offices in Brighton & Hove (East Sussex) and as lockdown eases, we would anticipate this is where you will spend at least 2 days a week working alongside the rest of the communications team. Successful candidates will already have the right to live and work in the UK.
