Swift Consortium Learning and Communications Support Officer
Oxfam is looking for a communications expert to develop and implement a communications strategy and produce communications material for dissemination to a broad range of audiences. Working with the Water team, the communications officer will focus on capturing and distilling programme achievements, lessons learned and research findings. They will be able to build relationships with different country teams and be able to communicate complex information in accessible and engaging formats.
One of the key functions of the role will be to work with the SWIFT consortium, a multi-partner programme working to deliver water, sanitation and hygiene in fragile contexts. The communications officer will work with the consortium to develop learning materials from DRC and Kenya using research and analysis from programme teams. Working with different members of the consortium, this person will identify opportunities within the wider international development sector to communicate lessons and analysis in a variety of ways.
To deliver Oxfam’s WASH strategy both supporting country teams to deliver quality programmes as well as influencing the sector in key priorities such as use of markets and enterprise, resilience and fragility. Within this team, the SWIFT consortium delivers WASH services to 1.5 million people leading a diverse set of partners.
Location: OXFORD (OXFAM HOUSE)
Hours: 28.8 hours per week (4 days)
Salary: £30,375 - £35,380 per annum gross, pro rata
