About Oxfam

A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice.

Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.

What we are looking for:

A proactive and high-performing research and policy officer who is committed to the reduction of poverty and inequality in Scotland. The right candidate will be an experienced policy officer with a comprehensive understanding of the Scottish policy and political context, particularly as it relates to poverty and inequality. Specialist knowledge of gender inequalities and the labour market would be a significant advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent judgement and be committed to the highest quality and ethical standards. You will be enthusiastic about building partnerships and have the confidence to communicate externally whilst managing significant external relationships.

You will be impatient for change and will drive to achieve it whilst working within an impactful and supportive team.
