Coffey is currently seeking applications for the position of Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion Specialist to join our GEDSI Pool of Specialists for upcoming Coffey projects.
The GEDSI Specialist will support the work of various international projects being implemented by Coffey in the Asia Pacific region, providing leadership and guidance on best practice principles and strategies in order to achieve gender equitable and socially inclusive programs. The specialist will work in partnership with programs on the development of GEDSI strategies and plans; providing input to program monitoring and evaluation frameworks and performance indicators; undertaking training and workshops with program teams and supporting opportunities for networking and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Gender Studies, Development Studies or similar, with considerable experience developing and implementing gender and social inclusion related policies and programs in a developing country. Knowledge of current international thinking on gender and cross cutting development issues will be required; combined with practical experience providing advice and coaching on strategies and initiatives, in cross cultural environments. Previous experience writing reports for clients and an excellent ability to work collaboratively, with strong communication and listening skills will be essential.
