About the role

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is creative, with an eye for product and great negotiation and influencing skills to join a dynamic buying team, responsible for sourcing and developing ranges of products from Cards to Fairtrade food to sell through Oxfam shops.

 

Based in Oxford, in Oxfam’s Trading Division, the Buyer will work with others to develop and source New Product ranges to achieve sales. The Buyer will work with others to identify customer needs and with suppliers to develop a range that meets Oxfam’s ethical and quality standards. You will be responsible for analysing customer and product data to help inform decisions.

 

About you

 

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. You are able to work under pressure and will have strong IT and data skills. Organised and able to meet deadlines you will be comfortable analysing and interpreting data to help make decisions on product purchasing. You will have a keen interest in sales and the retail environment. Although not essential, previous experience in a buying role and working with suppliers would be desirable.
